STATION FAQ: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
GENERAL INQUIRIES
Q: How do I join the Helios Extraction Corp?
A: Head to the Recruitment Kiosk at betweenthe.rocks. Enter your credentials into the manifest (newsletter sign-up) to receive your official intake email and division assignment.
Q: Where is Station: The Belt located?
A: We operate in the high-density mineral sectors of the Main Asteroid Belt. Due to the proprietary nature of our isotopes, exact coordinates are classified and provided only to contracted assets upon departure from Earth-Luna orbit.
DIVISIONAL ROLES
Q: Can I change my division after I’ve signed the Contractor Agreement?
A: HEC values versatility, but specialization is key to survival. If you wish to transition from Driller to Listener, you must undergo a mandatory 48-hour acoustic recalibration and receive a sign-off from Yuki in Recruitment.
Q: Do I need prior experience to be a Dog Trainer?
A: No. The V-4 "Iron Hound" units use a direct neural sync. While a background in animal behavior is a plus, the hardware does most of the heavy lifting. You just need the mental fortitude to handle the feedback loops.
STATION LIFE
Q: What is "The Malady" I keep hearing about in the Whisper Box?
A: Auditory Pareidolia is a common side effect of long-term signal monitoring. If you start hearing your name in the static or feel the "Ghost" signal is responding to your thoughts, don't panic. Report to the Synthetic Lounge for a rest cycle and a ration of bourbon.
Q: Are there any family housing units on the station?
A: Currently, The Belt is a high-hazard industrial zone. While we recognize the importance of family, our contracts are currently limited to individual assets. We encourage crew to use the sub-space relay to send messages back home to Oklahoma or wherever they were recruited.
